To Tom and Patrick it is not Michele star restaurant, it is summer and there will always be waits for seating on island town restaurants, and since it is August a lot of summer students have gone home and back to school so most places are going to be understaffed, shoobies should climb off their pedestal and have some empathy for people that are working in 100 degree kitchens making food for them, serving them, and cleaning up after them!!! I understand it not always perfect but there is always a million things that are going in a restaurant and some you can not control.
They give you a lot of food which is sooo nice and fun. We all got salads to start. The ceasar salad was actually SOOOO GOOD!!!!!! I could've eaten 12 of those little bowls. All the dishes come with good sides!! And it was overall super tasty! (Chicken parm was my option since i don't love seafood and it was eh. But it's fine and to be expected since it's a seafood restaurant!) service was great! Our waitress must have been working there for a while cuz she knew exactly what she was doing like she could've done it in her sleep.
Carmen's is a delicious seafood restaurant with an incredible family oriented vibe. We met Carmen's family and enjoyed our anniversary dinner last year and birthday this year at Carmen's. The service and ambiance can't be beat. The food varies a bit hence the four stars...perhaps an off night the second time. Will return though and ask for recommendations.

What you need to know: Free Valet parking (don't forget to tip) Pricey- I'd say expect $35 per person or more 5pm Saturday seating was perfect! We arrived before the dinner rush and scored a table on the water. Our drink order was taken right away, followed by appetizer order, then entree order. Food came timed appropriately with very little wait time. Waitresses help one another fill glasses, remove dirty dishes. A lot of workers moving around the dining room to clean and keep things operating smoothly. The dining room is rustic. Wooden style picnic tables, but very appropriate for summer seafood open air dining. The deviled clam had a delicious breading. Scallops with bacon just a tiny bit under done, but edible. Broiled scallops and flounder done perfectly, I had fried shrimp, a crab cake. Both were good. It's a Sea Isle classic! #carmenhascrabs
